Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Internet Explorer 9 and above. For Internet Explorer 9 users must enable TLS version 1.0. 1.1 and 1.2 in their Browser settings (Internet options > Advanced > Security).

When access the Training Schedules page in IE9, you will get a warning about insecure content, click accept the warning to view training schedules.

The SIS Customer Care Center is your first point of contact for all plug-in’s available on the Ocean Store as well as to report issues related to the Store itself. The Customer Care Center will handle or direct your support request to the appropriate team within the Schlumberger organization or a third party.

You may contact the Customer Care Center via phone, via email, or via the Web (through the Support Portal). Requests are recorded in the Customer Care Center Incident Tracking System by a local support engineer.

6. Enter your purchase details (Billing Address Information, Dongle ID) and submit your Order.
   
   
7. After completing your purchase, you will be sent an email with the summary of your order, a download link and your license file attached. You will be able to download your Ocean Store product via the provided link. If you have not received the license file in the Order Confirmation email, it will be sent to you after the Dongle ID verification.

Dongle ID is the ID of the CodeMeter that your Petrel Platform is licensed to.

To obtain the Petrel Dongle ID, plug the dongle in your computer, launch the Schlumberger licensing tool by double-clicking the Schlumberger Licensing shortcut on your desktop , or by selecting Start>Programs>Schlumberger>Schlumberger Licensing XXXX>Schlumberger Licensing. Use the Request dialog box (accessed from the Request button on the Schlumberger licensing dialog box) to verify your dongle and host IDs.

Enter your dongle ID at the Checkout page at the Ocean Store in the following format:

How do I Find the Host ID or Physical address of my Computer?

Before registering your product and generating the license file, Schlumberger’s Software based products requires that you provide host ID information for the host computer that you install the associated license file on,

Identify the host ID of a physical machine

The host ID is the Physical Address (or MAC address) of the main network adapter.

For Windows 7 & Windows 8: Click on Start at the bottom left of the desktop, type “cmd.exe” where it says search programs and files. Image1

For Windows 10:

Open a command prompt window (In the search bar at the bottom left of the Desktop screen where it says, "Ask me anything", type "Command Prompt" and press Enter).

Follow the link to see a window with a list of available downloads for your Order. Select the same version of the Plug-in installation kit to download as your current Petrel version on your computer.

We recommend clicking Save Target As (as opposed to Run) in the appearing dialog box. Do not rename the download file to avoid any installation problems.

How do I install a .MSI file?
When the download finishes, you should go to the location where you saved the file and double-click on it to begin installation.

How do I install a .PIP file?
The Ocean Plug-in Manager uses a plug-in installer package (.pip),  the pip allows you to package and distribute Ocean plug-ins. You will not need to run an installer application to install or uninstall a plug-in.
Start your Petrel Platform and navigate to the Ocean Plug-in manager (Help > Ocean Plug-in Manager). From the Ocean Plug-in Manager, you can access plug-ins from two locations:

• Plug-ins published in the Ocean Store
• Plug-ins from internal sources in your organization that are in network share folders

Each plug-in comes with its own installer and targets a specific version of Petrel. When a plug-in is installed, it registers itself to let Petrel know that it exists and how it can be uninstalled. Similarly, if the plug-in is uninstalled, it will un-register itself from Petrel.
If you uninstall Petrel, Petrel will check for plug-ins, and prompt you to uninstall the registered plug-ins. Uninstalling all plug-ins is recommended if you uninstall Petrel, and is mandatory is you are doing the upgrade to a new Petrel mayor version, this is from 201X.1  to 201x.1.

No. A download is a simple file transfer. An install is the unpacking and loading of the software on your computer. Most software will walk you through the install process after you download.

For assistance with the installation, use, or uninstallation of your software, please contact your local SIS Customer Care Center.

To run the Plug-in within Petrel application, you need a valid license configured on a license server either locally on your computer, or on a central license server.

Plug-ins (same as Petrel) use a combination of FLEXnet® licensing and a WIBU® CodeMeter® dongle to provide a secure licensing solution.

Before beginning this procedure, make sure that you have installed CodeMeter v4.x on the machine where you installed the Schlumberger licensing utility, and that you have access to your CodeMeter dongle and Schlumberger license file.

To install the license file:

1. Run the Schlumberger Licensing utility (Start->Programs->Schlumberger->Schlumberger Licensing),
2. Click the “Stop” button to halt the license server,
3. Click the “Add license file …” button,
4. Select the provided license file and click “OK”. Note: if the full pathname of the license file is too long you will not be allowed to add it. In such a case place it in a directory closer to the root directory of the disk. i.e. C:\Program Files\Plug-in Licenses\.
5. Click the “Start” button to restart the license server.

If you have a lot of plug-ins, you might need to manage their licenses using the “folder” mode of the Licensing utility. Do the following:

1. Move all your license files in a single folder,
2. Start the Schlumberger Licensing Utility (Start->Programs->Schlumberger->Schlumberger Licensing),
3. Click the “Stop” button to halt the license server,
4. Click the “File->Advanced options” menu,
5. Select “Folder” at the bottom of the dialog and click “OK”,
6. Click the “Add license folder” button,
7. Select the folder with all your licenses and click “OK”,
8. Finally click the “Start” button to restart the license server.
9. To add a new license then just copy the license file into the license folder, open the Licensing Utility, click the Stop button to halt the license server, and then the Start button to restart it.

A temporary license is a 30 day license provided to you to be able to use the product until the payment for your Order is received in full. If the payment is received within 30 days, you will receive an email with a full license as purchased. If not, the temporary license shall expire and you will not be able to use the product until the payment is received and a full license is provided to you.

Temporary license is not renewable.
